Youth Counselling

Youth therapy focuses on promoting their mental well-being, resolving conflicts, and supporting their overall development. The primary goal of youth therapy is to help young individuals navigate the unique challenges of adolescence and overcome various difficulties they may be experiencing. These challenges can include academic pressure, social anxiety, family issues, peer relationships, self-esteem problems, identity exploration, emotional regulation, trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, or any other mental health concern.

In my sessions, I often use interactive techniques such as art and play to young people help with their self-expression. Together, we work to identify and understand their emotions, develop coping skills, improve communication, build resilience, and work towards achieving their therapeutic goals. I am particularly passionate about helping teens explore their identities in a safe and affirming way.

In addition to working directly with the young person, youth therapy may also involve collaboration with parents, guardians, or other family members. Family therapy sessions can help address family dynamics, improve communication, and enhance support systems, which can greatly benefit the adolescent's overall well-being.
