Frequently Asked Questions

How can counselling help me?

Counseling can provide you with a safe and non-judgmental space to express your concerns, gain insight into your thoughts and feelings, and develop effective coping strategies. It can help you navigate through difficult life transitions, manage stress, improve relationships, and enhance your overall mental and emotional well-being.

How long does counselling take?

The duration of counseling varies depending on individual needs and goals. Some individuals may benefit from short-term counseling, which typically lasts for a few sessions or a couple of months. Others may require longer-term counseling, which can span several months or even years. The frequency and duration of sessions will be determined collaboratively with your counsellor.

How much does a session cost?

My hourly rate is CAD$140.00 plus GST. Many insurers provide coverage for mental health services by registered clinical counsellors. At this time, I am unable to direct bill insurers. Please check with your employer regarding how much coverage you have.

Do you offer online therapy or in-person therapy?

I offer online video counselling using the Jane platform which is secure and encrypted. I also offer in-person sessions in my office at #315, 2083 Alma Street, Vancouver, BC. There is free street parking around the building as well as paid underground parking in the building.

What is your availability?

I am available most weekday afternoons and every second Saturday for virtual sessions. My latest availability is 6 PM. I am available during regular weekday business hours for in-person appointments.
